How to Request Tax Records

Looking for tax records or documents from our files? We can help.

You may request a copy of your tax information, including your tax return. We keep tax returns for five years.

What You’ll Need

To request your records, you must provide:

• A written request – You can use the Request for Copies of Tax Information (Form RTI)
• Proof of identity – For example, a copy of your driver’s license or state ID card
• If requesting for someone else – A signed Power of Attorney
