Cannabis and Alcohol Divisions Have Merged

The Cannabis and Alcohol Regulation Division (CARD) has officially launched, resulting from the merger of the Alcoholic Beverage Control Division (ABCD) and the Cannabis Control Division (CCD).

  • Core Functions Remain Unchanged: Essential activities like licensing, distribution, inventory tracking, inspection, and points of contact will not see significant changes.
  • Minor Changes: There will be minor operational changes including merging staff info office space at the liquor warehouse in Helena, an updated integrated website, a new CARD logo, and updated mission and value statements.
  • Commitment to Efficiency: CARD aims to find new efficiencies to support the Department of Revenue's mission of being the nation's most citizen-oriented, efficiently administered, state tax agency.
  • Future Communication: Further updates will be posted as minor changes are rolled out.
