Quota County All-Beverage Licenses
A Quota County All-Beverages License is used by establishments such as bars and taverns anywhere in a county but not in an incorporated city or within the five-mile boundary of an incorporated city.
The license lets you:
- Serve all alcoholic beverages including distilled spirits, wine, and beer
- Apply for gambling unless the license was obtained via competitive bid
- Be open from 8 a.m. to 2 a.m.

- New License Fee (if applicable): $400
- Application Processing Fee: $400
- Renewal Fee: $400
Note: The application processing fee only applies for original applications and is not applied to renewals.

You may apply for this license and make application either as a new license if there is one available or as a transfer purchase from someone who owns this type of license. See the Quota Sheet (PDF) to check availability.
License Quotas and Limits
Montana limits the number of county all-beverage licenses to one license for every 750 people living in the county.

License Renewal Deadline
A county all-beverage license must be renewed every year by June 30.
